  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves (plus for garnish)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar. Heat over medium-high until boiling.
  2. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for one minute to steep the tea.
  3. Remove from heat and strain the mixture into a measuring cup or pitcher. Let cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. Fill tall glasses with ice and add 4–5 mint leaves to each glass.
  5. Pour in ½ cup of apple juice followed by ½ cup of brewed tea over the ice.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of lime juice to each glass, stir gently, and garnish with apple slices and lemon wedges.
