Ingredients

Scale
  • 13.8-ounce tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • 3 black olives (for eyes)
  • Piece of red bell pepper (for tongues)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing)
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the black olives by cutting them into small pieces for the eyes and slice the red bell pepper into forked tongues.
  3. Unroll the pizza dough onto a clean surface and cut it into 12 strips along the long side.
  4. Roll each strip into 12-inch ropes, tapering one end for the tail and flattening the other for the head.
  5. Wrap each rope around a greased wooden chopstick or metal straw. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with poppy and sesame seeds.
  6. Add olive pieces as eyes on each snake’s head.
  7. Bake on parchment-lined baking sheets for about 11 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Cool briefly before removing chopsticks.
  8. Insert red pepper tongues at the tip of each flat-end snake.
