  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder, adjust to heat preference
  • Salt and sugar to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced or grated

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: Combine yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, ground cumin, smoked paprika, grated ginger, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl; add chicken and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the chicken: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; sauté chopped onion until translucent. Stir in tomato paste and then add tomato puree; simmer.
  3. Make the sauce: Add heavy cream, chili powder, salt, and sugar to the skillet; mix well.
  4. Cook marinated chicken: Add chicken to the sauce; cook on low heat for about 20-25 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Prepare garlic drizzle: Mix mayonnaise, plain yogurt, minced garlic cloves, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  6. Serve hot with fries and naan.
