  • 4 lbs apples (about 10 small-medium apples)
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Core and chop the apples into chunks and place them in a large stock pot.
  2. Add apple juice, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Cover the pot and cook over medium-low heat for 1-2 hours until apples are soft.
  4. Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
  5. Cook for another 30-60 minutes on low heat until thickened.
  6. Spoon into jars while warm and store in the refrigerator or freeze.
