  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 3 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 cup bone broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cheddar cheese, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion, celery, and bell pepper; sauté until tender.
  3. Stir in jalapeno and garlic; cook for one minute.
  4. Mix in chili powder, cumin, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in the bone broth and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve hot topped with shredded cheese or your choice of garnishes.
