Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let it sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil; stir until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and prepare a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  6. Roll out the risen dough into a thin round shape.
