  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ⅔ cup pumpkin puree (blotted)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, ground cloves, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together room temperature butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the egg, maple syrup, and blotted pumpkin puree; mix well.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet mixture until combined.
  6. Fold in half of the chopped pecans.
  7. Scoop dough onto a lined cookie sheet, spacing them two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 13-15 minutes until golden brown; cool on a rack.
  9. For icing, whisk powdered sugar, maple syrup, ground cloves, and cinnamon until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies.
