  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder, strawberry essence, food dye for flavoring and decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake trays with liners.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in one bowl. In another bowl, cream butter and eggs until fluffy, then mix in milk, oil, yogurt, and vanilla.
  3. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  4. Divide batter into three bowls; add cocoa powder to one for chocolate flavor and strawberry essence plus food dye to another for strawberry flavor.

  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack before frosting.
