  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 5 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a half-sheet pan (12"x17") with parchment paper and spray the sides with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and white sugar. Add eggs one at a time until well combined.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
  4. Stir in the pumpkin puree until smooth.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  6. While baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating together softened cream cheese and butter with confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Allow bars to cool completely before frosting.
