  • 1 egg (room temperature)
  • 250 g bread flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 80 g unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 150 g apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 80 g brown sugar
  • 60 g unsalted butter (for filling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk and sugar until dissolved. Add yeast and let it sit until frothy.
  2. Mix in the egg yolk and whole egg, then gradually add flour and salt until dough forms.
  3. Knead in butter until smooth; let rise in a greased bowl for about an hour.
  4. Prepare filling by mixing chopped apples with brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, roll tightly, cut lengthwise, twist halves together, and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
